My Practice Areas
Dedicated Representation For North Central Floridians
I am Katherine E. Macdonald, and I represent clients in Gainesville and throughout North Central Florida in a wide range of legal matters, including family law, divorce, probate, and estate planning.
Since I earned my Juris Doctorate with Honors from the University of Florida in 1983, I have been practicing law. My paralegal Melissa Salyer has been with the firm since 1988. Together, we provide our clients with experienced, hands-on legal representation.
About My Practice
My practice is focused on just a few key areas of law: family law, estate planning, and probate. Regardless of your legal needs, you can rely on me to keep you informed throughout every step of your case.
As a Gainesville divorce and family law lawyer, I handle an array of legal matters when a marriage or relationship comes to an end. Those include divorce, child custody, child support, parenting plans, parental responsibility, time-sharing, parental relocation, spousal support, paternity, fathers’ rights, and domestic violence.
I also handle child custody and child support modification as well as enforcement of these orders. I represent men and women equally and have extensive experience with litigated family law hearings.
Using tools such as wills, trusts, living wills and durable powers of attorney, I will help you create an estate plan that helps you achieve your unique goals.
Probate And Estate Administration
I will help you navigate the complex probate process to ensure that you meet all of your obligations in an efficient and timely manner. From getting the will admitted to probate and appointing a personal representative to estate administration, I have the experience to represent you in every phase of estate administration.
